Once Upon A Tide - SBTC312

Exactly what I was hoping for on my family beach getaway. I'd love to own a place like that. I could literally spend all day watching the waves crash into the beach, and listening to them pull back again. Temps hovered between 65-75 (May), and clouds broke at 11 for full afternoon of sun. Couldn't have been nicer!

Solana Beach is a nice town with great restaurants and an Amtrak station just a few blocks away. Lots to do and see, but my favorite was resting in the condo couch, looking out the window at the ocean and birds and listening to the waves. Ideal vacation, just what we were looking for

We were staying a few days on spring break and this unit was very reasonably priced. The complex is well cared for, however it could use some better wayfarer signage. I thought it was difficult to find the unit at 3 am when we wearily arrived from a full day of travel in the middle of the night. The building has a different number on the exterior, so that was super confusing to us.

I would return but the bedding and decor could use some updating. There were teeny ants that were on the counters and floor of the guest bedroom. The Stubbs office was super friendly to give us a few traps which took care of the ants and some extra beach towels. The area is a great pivot point to see many attractions.

Best comment about this unit is the magnificent view!!!! Look forward all year to spending time here in Solana Beach!!!! Only wish I could stay longer!!!! Best therapy is watching the waves roll in!!!

Lovely location, well equipped condo with beautiful views and nice grounds. Very comfortable and extremely clean.We found even though it’s dates part of the charm. The only down side, no beach chairs and the gates did not work consistently for entry.

This condo is nicely situated in the Solana Beach area near restaurants and shopping but the unit is dated. The Tennis Club provided amenities but the hot tub was in need of cleaning and at least one of the tennis courts should be converted to pickleball courts.

The rental was clean and well equipped with everything. We absolutely loved the view and proximity to the beach. Property managers were very friendly and responsive! We will definitely use this company again.

The condo itself isn’t all that spectacular. It’s nice. Very well equipped with all you need, just add food!
The view was nothing short of spectacular.
There were only a few downsides for me.
The master bed was way too firm. That’s a matter of choice.
The second bedroom was hot. Only way to cool it down was to leave master windows open at let the fresh air flow through. We made the best of it.
Electrical needs to be updated. Few outlets available.
My only other issue was a text I received stating unit was available an extra day at discounted rate. When I asked for late checkout, the best that could be done was for 2 hours at $50. If the u it was not rented out, didn’t understand why it was so costly to stay an extra 4 hours.
Nice place. Close to a lot. View was second to none.

This is our second stay in the unit and it worked just fine. It perfect home-away-from-home" with all of the kitchen tools if you feel like cooking or not and order from many nearby restaurants. Location is perfect with the amazing views of the beach and ocean.Very comfortable for two couple of a family.

Watched all of the sunsets from our balcony which became a daily event. The condo was very comfortable and easy to keep it clean and neat.

We had a very nice week in the unit in Mid-October. Unit location is perfect, and it is exactly as described on the site. Checking in and out was very easy and fast. Kitchen is fully equipped, and you have anything you may need to cook a large meal or a quick snack. Does have some basic supplies to start.
It was clean and ready, and we had no issues with that part of the rental. Please note that it is an older complex and its age can be noticed in the appliances and bathroom fixtures, but everything worked fine.
Really appreciated STUBBS response to a plumbing problem we had in the kitchen – it was resolved very quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Solana Beach and Tennis Club. You certainly cannot beat the location. The condo was lovely and it is such a treat to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. We love to boogie board at the beach, walk to the gym and stores and restaurants, and enjoy the pool too!

Reasonably priced. When booked thought it was a bargain for beachfront but when we saw the state of disrepair we thought it appropriately priced. Reasons: Ants, slow sink drain in master bath and had to hold toilet handle down. In guest bath the toilet paper holder is hanging out of the wall and the toilet handle sticks in the down position and runs unless pulled up. No battery in the den fan remote so it did not work until we bought a replacement battery. The back door does not lock due to salt air corrosion. Slats on the vertical blinds in the guest bedroom are broken and there is no privacy. Some slats have been reversed and punched. That bedroom is very hot even with fans.
