The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. This was a great rental and great location. The property management was wonderful to work with! They were very response when I asked questions and very responsive with some very minor issues when we arrived. They arrived to correct the minor issue within a hour and made sure everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. I will definitely use this company again if renting in the area.

We had a very nice stay at this property. The view is incredible- right on the ocean. We watched the surfers every morning. Nice layout of kitchen and bedroom. One thing I would change- not enough light to read by in the bedroom and there wasn't enough hot water to totally fill up the bathtub.

My mom, sister and I had stayed at this complex often for the past 26 yrs and some of the stays were in #17, which was “Helen’s condo).. always a lovely place.
This November when I walked in, it looked very much the same but also had not been taken care of. Peeling paint on the slider areas and windows, tape on the sliders, a really worn out sisal rug leading to balcony. Stains in the couch cushions etc.
Another issue was no instructions for operating the tvs. Kevin came over and fixed/explained operation but next day could not get l. r. set to work.
The view and easy walk in to the unit is a major good feature! The unit was well equipped and comfortable. The staff at Stubbs was wonderful and efficient. A nice welcome basket was appreciated.
One drawback that Stubbs could not control was the renovation going on next door. Pretty constant drilling and hammering was not very peaceful!
The unit had been cleaned well etc. it was a great visit but appearance and maintenance disappointing. Would recommend to friends with caveat of appearance.

A couple of concerns: Both sliding doors, one to the balcony oceanfront and the balcony off the master bedroom Do Not Lock. We had hiking sticks that we placed for security. This needs to be fixed please.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea La Vie property. Access to the beach was excellent and the complex was quiet and relaxing! The place was comfortable and clean for the most part. The couch is really soiled and should be replaced. The sliding door to the deck could also use some attention. The requisite meeting with the community ambassador was unpleasant. The message we took away from the meeting was "we don't really want you here and we don't trust you."

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this complex and have loved every minute. The views are spectacular and to watch the clouds over the ocean and storms move in is so magical!. We love the close access to the beach and the pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean. Stubbs is very helpful and helps with any needs. It's a great home away from home and we look forward to our next visit. We wish were still there and walking on the beach as we came home to Utah to snow!!!!!

The view,the view,the view! Well appointed,clean and fun beach vibe throughout the condo. The sliding door could be tricky/loud,yet having a stubborn slider at our abode, we were able to manage.

Unfortunately, the condo association was performing maintenance on piping, etc, which required us to use a porto-potty in the garage for 3 days. And yes, I understand this was thru no fault of the Stubbs rental company. They were apologetic and gave us a partial refund of our payments, so they DID try to help out. Our unit needed a serious deep cleaning, as it was starting to look rather worn, considering the $$$ paid for the unit. Best of all was the ocean view, with the amenities of Solana Beach close by. We would rent again from Stubbs, but a different unit.

Perfect location with great sunset views and surfers. Right on the beach. If you walk to the left, you will enjoy dog’s beach (vivid and joyful); if you walk to the right, you will enjoy solitude. We liked everything!

We spent a wonderful week at Sea La Vie in beautiful Solana Beach/Del Mar. It was a return to our favorite Southern California region, having lived in Poway for seven years previously. The location was ideal with easy access to Del Mar, Encinitas, La Jolla, Interstate 5, and all the other wonderful places in the San Diego area. The condo overlooked Solana Beach with a location where daily from sunup to sundown, surfers filled the sea and dogs from nearby dog beach chased one another in and out of the waves. The condo (with covered parking) was very accessible from Via de la Valle, and also had a beautiful pool, hot tub and easy access to the beach. The condo was fully furnished, including beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys (if you have kiddos) and anything else needed for a great day at the beach. We like to cook, and enjoyed all the kitchen amenities. There were a couple of cabinets that needed a little work on the latches and a sliding screen door that kept jumping its track, but the view and the attached balcony made those small flaws easy to overlook. Ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room helped on the warmer days, so beware that there is no AC if you there when heat is expected. The location did provide some great ocean breezes. Even though some of the condo felt a little dated, it was clean, the initial supply of paper towels, etc., was sufficient for the week and free access to the complex's laundry was a nice added benefit. It was also nice knowing the management team was just up the street should we have any special issues (which we did not!) Sea La Vie was a wonderful escape in a beautiful location!

This was a comfortable, nicely located one-bedroom unit from which guests can both enjoy ocean views and easily access the pool and beach. It was well-equipped. We would rent it again, maybe for two weeks, though the rates for the same time next year appear to be increasing by over 1/3. The cleaning regimen could be improved a bit; e.g., bedroom rug and closet had significant dirt on and in them. I understand the owners will be renovating the unit. While it may be considered slightly tired, the unit is after all a beach “house,” which shouldn’t be held to the same standard as other rentals.

What a beautiful and perfect place to stay! From the incredible view to the amazing proximity to the ocean/beach to the attention from Stubbs (the rental company), we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We highly recommend Sea La Vie (and Stubbs).

This unit is furnished with comfortable furniture and is nicely decorated. However, there are a number of problems. It was dusted, but not clean. I scrubbed rust from the kitchen sink and washed dust from the glassware. The coffee maker needs to be descaled. The BBQ is unusable and if it can be cleaned, it should be covered to prevent the rust and salt air damage. The was one set of bath towels, several of which had rust stains. The bath mat was dirty. The shower liner was moldy. I cleaned spots off the rug when we arrived. The diverter cartridge in the shower was installed backwards. The bathroom sink had calcium deposits which had not been cleaned. Instructions for operating the TV would have been helpful.

We stayed in this rental for a week, and absolutely will do it again. Fantastic location, spectacular view, quiet area. The condo was extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly want.
