Escape at Seascape - SUR112

We loved our stay in SUR 112 - the unobstructed sunset views from the unit are incredible - one morning we even woke up to a double rainbow over the ocean! The unit itself is quite comfortable and has plenty of room. Stubbs was very responsive in taking care of any issues that arose, for example quickly replacing the WIFI router when it went on the fritz. They also lent us beach chairs as the unit does not provide them. As others have noted, some of the furnishings in the unit are older but everything was in good working order. This is the fourth time we have stayed in a unit in this complex. All our stays have been great but SUR 112 may have been the one we enjoyed most because of the amazing ocean views. Thank you to everyone at Stubbs for making it a great stay!

The complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained. Quiet property. This unit had newer appliances (older washer and dryer but work well) The condo was clean but on the more dated side. Pros: View was amazing. Nice breeze from the ocean. Cons: master bed much too soft, twin beds much to firm. No dish towels, no cleaning supplies to wipe down kitchen etc. No blender, No cookie sheet, only 1 garbage bag provided for a week stay. Broken blinds. No beach toys, umbrella or chairs. (available from Stubbs but extra work to check out etc) Old tv with no instructions on how to use. We have rented 9 condos in this complex and this one was the least “appointed” Missing basic necessities. The Stubbs staff is great. The beach is amazing and not too crowded even in July. Lots of stairs. Short walk to CVS, and restaurants.

The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The condo is in a perfect location, the view is incredible, and steps away from the beach access. The pool and hot tub was another nice amenity, and always clean when we used it. The condo itself was a bit out of date, but everything was functional. The addition of some ceiling fans would help keep the place cool on hot days, but the ocean breeze did flow through. The management company was also very responsive- we had an appliance issue and they fixed it within 24 hours, and also provided some beach toys for our kids. Overall an amazing stay and would recommend!

This was our second stay at this property. You cannot beat the location and the view. It is phenomenal.
The unit was not as equipped this year as our first stay. Only a problem because I pack everything I think we will need, and assumed the same amenities would be available this year. Stubbs promptly supplied some of the missing pieces, like adequate silverware and a kitchen size trash can. The grill was also gone. The living room furniture is getting very saggy and unsupported. Replacing the living room sofa and two chairs would make this unit 5 stars.
That said, we hope to come back next year because the view is worth it. Overall, the unit is quite clean and comfortable, and we got by without some of the things that had been there previously.

A great opportunity to enjoy the many hiking trails in the San Diego area. Solana Beach and Seascape SUR112 served as a wonderful home base. Everything one could need was provided for including sun and warm temps. The unit and the complex was perfect and very well maintained. Check-in and check-out process and instructions were very easy to navigate. Staff very helpful. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying here. This unit needs: bathrooms fixtures don't function well, 80% of kitchen utensils should be discarded and replaced, and it took 3 days to figure out the TV.

Excellent location. Only a 5-minute drive to the parking area at Del Mar. Loved the unit for the cleanliness and views of the beach and ocean. Management was responsive for the couple of times I needed them. The sliders were very sticky and need replaced. Overall, a great place to stay. I hope to be back for the BC in 2025.

Back to this unit for the second time,
If it's an ocean view you want , this unit is unbeatable.

Unit is acceptable but needs some maintenance and love.
- ANTS!
Use maker in refrigerator dent work
Windows difficult to slide because of rust
Cigarette burns on balcony rail
It would have been nice to have a tutorial on TV
No AC - but only one box fan doe unseasonal heat wave

We have been coming to Seascape Sur since 2008. We love coming and have stayed in many units. We stayed in unit 112 this time. I like the top floor, but the screen door off the balcony was broken and just resting awkwardly against the glass door. I immediately reported it and followed up but it was never fixed while we were there.
We were also disappointed the hot tub in the pool area was not working .
My kids love using the hot tub. They had to use the other one that was further away this time but it was always so crowded since there was only one working hot tub.

This property is in a great location right on the beach front. However the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the floors, cupboards etc, leave much to be desired. We had to clean the inside of the pantry, cupboards and drawers, also the crockery and cutlery before we could use them, mainly because they had food stuck to them, it seems the dishwasher was not doing a great job. The pantry shelves still had crumbs on them and the inside of the cupboards were dirty and smelly. The washing machine was also not clean. Overall we found the kitchen very un-hygienic and disappointing. The beds in the second bedroom are suitable for kids only, not for a moderate to tall adult. I am sorry to be giving such a bad review because we really enjoyed the location and the Solana Beach area. We would recommend this property with reservations and conditions.

This was the second time we stayed in this specific unit. The views cannot be beat! And it's wonderful to be able to walk down to the beach barefoot. The unit is clean, good for a small group, had almost everything we needed.

Our only 2 issues were: 1) no beach towels that we could find! and 2) wifi is slow and doesn't cover the whole unit.

We were very pleased with our stay at Escape at Seascape! The deck is where we sat most every day (and night) enjoying the near 180 degree view of the ocean! There are not buildings close by that limit your view and the sound of the waves can even be heard when sitting inside the condo. The living room furniture was very comfortable. The two twin beds do not have the best mattress, but was suitable for my young teenager. The king bed had a very comfortable mattress, though we do like softer mattresses. There was an issue with ants in the primary bedroom and bathroom and in the kitchen. Traps were set so I know they are trying to work on it. Having lived in Solana by the beach before I know it is a never-ending battle in the summer. The kitchen does not have the newest dishes, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans, but we found everything we needed. The fridge is very nice - clean and new! Dishwasher worked great! There are two showers in the bathrooms that are nice and big and water pressure was excellent! We also were really impressed with the location of the condo. Close to the beach access (which is nice and secure with a coded gate) and close to the parking garage entrance and well spaced assigned parking spots. Seascape has really nice grounds, we enjoyed watching the Koi fish. The pool felt great and the hot tub was the perfect temperature. We are hoping to book this unit again next year. Great condo!

We enjoyed our time in San Diego, spending time at the beach, hiking, going to the tide pools, and shopping. The property was clean, and the views and sounds of the ocean were amazing! The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, dishes, cooking utensils etc. The customer service from the management company across the street was excellent! It was easy to borrow beach gear from there for the week. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing beach get away. This was our first time to Solana Beach (we usually go to Mission or Pacific Beach) and this was so quiet, with no crowds, even on the weekend. That was wonderful! We will be back!

Company was so nice and accommodating the property was nice with a heated pool, a cooler pool and hot tub. Property was nice but the unit we were is a as really dates. Most of the dishes had a do on the so we had to wash them. Everything else was fine. Clean and comfortable.

We stayed for 6 weeks at Seascape Sur from mid Jan-all of February. The unit (112) was immaculately clean and perfectly located just steps away from the garage (with 2 allocated parking spaces) and steps away from the stairs leading onto the beach. But it is the unobstructed view of the water that is the most dramatic feature.
The management company was responsive to a couple of minor "fixes" .
The only two downsides were the inefficient heater in the Master Bedroom and the "sketchy" internet connection.
We loved our stay and have re-booked for next year

The location of this property was fantastic with stunning views. I would give this an overall 5 but I can only give a 4. The dishes were dirty and the carpet had not been vacuumed. But I would recommend to family and friends.

Overall, we had a good experience at Seascape Sur. Our top floor oceanfront unit had a wonderful view, easy access to the beach, and the grounds at Seascape were very well-kept. The twin mattresses in bedroom #2 could use an upgrade, especially if used by adults. Also note that there is no air conditioning (as stated in the description). It was only an issue for a couple of days, and there was a cool breeze off the ocean every evening. This was our second visit with Stubbs, and we have found them to be great to work with, and will very likely work with them again, especially since we like the Solana Beach area.

This ocean front condo is in a great location with excellent views of the beach and surf. Great natural light from the multiple sky lights. The condo is spacious but past due for some upgrades. Master bedroom king mattress provided no support and owners need to address asap. Stubbs continues to be great to work with!

It was a great stay with my family of five. The view from the room is so nice I was watching outside from the couch most of the time. The breeze was nice and did not think we need a AC. Easy access to the beach. There was enough pots, pans, dishes and silverware for the family. Many restaurants in the area. Red Tracton's Steakhouse was delicious. The only complaint was the pillows and sheets did not smell fresh and had a smell of a body odor. The towel holder in the bathroom came off, but told the property management right away and told us they will take care of it within the insurance that was paid. But overall, the stay was awesome!!

We have been staying in different Solana Beach condos annually for the last 15 years. This unit was one of the nicest ever. As usual, the weather was incredible, even though it was the last week of November. Playing on the beach all day, even surfing and swimming without a wetsuit in the afternoons. (We usually visited the hot tub to warm back up after being in the water.)

The view from the condo is incredible. It is also very close to the beach stairs and convenient for going back and forth to the beach. Parking space is close by also. Condo interior was clean and comfortable. The master bed was amazingly comfortable. We slept 9-10 hours straight and woke up with our backs feeling great. The kitchen was functional for basic needs, but if you plan on doing much cooking or baking, bring most of what you need.

A negative on cleanliness was that the glass doors and balcony were very dirty, which kind of spoiled the view when sitting in the living room.

Overall good, however the unit next door 114 had a loud chirping ADT alarm that went off ever 30 seconds!!! The entire week!
The housekeeper who we bumped into on day 2 , shut all the windows in the unit, which helped, we contacted Stubbs, asked them to call HOA so outof town owner could remedy. No luck.

We loved the unit and the views are unmatched. Fairly outdated and could use some upgrades for sure. We will certainly rent this unit again but only if the twin beds are upgraded. They are awful and the springs stick out in places. We had to put down comforters for our children to lay on because it was so uncomfortable - like sleeping on a box spring.

First of all, you can’t beat the location or view! We would stay here again just for the view. We loved opening the sliding doors in the morning and evening and listening to the waves in the ocean. The screen doors were not even on the track when we arrived. My husband managed to put them on the track but they didn’t slide either because of old age or sand.

Towels were provided but there were no wash cloths. For being a beach house, there were no beach chairs or toys which was very disappointing. There was no toaster as advertised but there was a toaster oven. Very limited silverware so we felt like we had to run the dishwasher almost every day. We ran out of hand soap in the kitchen after the second day.

We loved staying here for the location and view but just know before booking that this rental is lacking amenities.

We loved our view! It was definitely ocean front & we could hear the ocean all day & night. There are 120 steps down to the beach but worth it. Our condo was clean & had everything we needed including washer & dryer & detergent. Some of the decor and furnishings were a little dated but the living area was updated. The place was quiet. The kitchen met all our needs. When we came there were 2 little glitches, one the hair dryer was broken & within 20 minutes they brought me a new one.
